Menus and settings
A menu bar runs across the top of the window with File, Edit, View, Tools and Help.
Using the menus
Menus close with Esc or a click outside. Once one is open, the others open as you hover over them. You can also drive them with the arrow keys. Commands that can't apply yet, such as Undo with nothing to undo, are unavailable.
File
- New World opens the default world fresh.
- Open World… opens a saved
.bleupainting. - Open Recent lists the last eight worlds you opened or saved.
- Save and Save As… keep your painting as a file.
- Exit is in the desktop app only. It asks about unsaved changes first.
See Saving and opening.
Edit
- Undo, Redo and Clear.
- Settings…, described below.
View
- Panels → Library shows or hides the Library.
- Palette shows or hides the palette's groups (World, Brushes, Texture, Materials, Mood). It shares its list with the palette's three-dots panel.
- World → Zoom In, Zoom Out and Reset Zoom. There are six steps from 75% to 300% about the middle of the window. Zoom changes only your view, so nothing you painted moves, and it isn't saved.
- App Window → Minimize (desktop app only) and Full screen. In the desktop app, once the window is full screen the item reads Restore, and Restore or Esc brings back the normal window.
Tools
- Take a Screenshot
- Record a Video

- Check for Updates… asks for the newest version. See Updates.
- About Bleu shows the About dialog, with your version.
